ESSAY PUBLISHED in THE DILLYDOUN REVIEW

In the spirit of the debate over whether “Die Hard” is a Christmas movie, have I written a Halloween essay or a Thanksgiving essay?

I am very pleased to share that my new essay, What Haunts You About That House, has been published in the third issue of The Dillydoun Review. I encourage you to follow the link and check it out. And check out the rest of The Dillydoun Review while you are there!

The essay was inspired by a real walk through the historic Lover’s Lane district in St. Joseph, Missouri, a great place for a scenic walk or drive if you enjoy seeing grand old houses from an elegant past. In particular, “What Haunts You About That House” reflects on the question of why we think certain houses “look haunted” when we see them and what those perceptions might mean.

I enjoyed writing this particular piece. I hope you enjoy reading it as well.
