Flash Fiction for Halloween

As we cruise into the middle of the Halloween season, I am delighted to announce that The Molotov Cocktail has recently published my creepy little short story — Pareidolia — in its latest issues (Volume 10: Issue 8).

Want to know what the word “pareidolia” means? It describes the human tendency to assemble visual information into something recognizable, and one of the most common manifestations of this lies in the human tendency to see faces in inanimate objects. Here is the Wikipedia explanation if you are intrigued.

I carried this story around in my head for a long time before I finally committed it to paper, so I really appreciate the opportunity to share it with an audience. I encourage you to check it out — it is short but don’t read it right before bed — and take a look around The Molotov Cocktail while you are out there. Spooky flash fiction is their thing, so if Halloween is your favorite season (or even top three), you might enjoy what they have to offer.
